The inspiration behind YeloMonki Works
My name is Yellow Gray, and I am a self-taught painter behind the creations of YeloMonki Works. I have embarked on many journeys, yet deep down, I have always yearned to be a painter. For the majority of my life, I navigated through the complexities of what it meant to be a painter, often questioning the definitions, expectations, and processes surrounding the act of painting. Also, I had a passion for animals and indigenous cultures. University gifted me to be able to study sociocultural anthropology, sociolinguistics, and art history. After gaining unwavering support from some deeply respected close hearts and minds, I was able to reflect on all of this time spent mentally contemplating and academically studying. This led me to the conclusion that my lifelong passion for painting could be organicly combined with my academia and had already defined me as a sociocultural anthropological painter. Now, I embrace my identity and paint with joy, offering Conservation and Commission Paintings from Tucson, Arizona, USA.

What our paintings evoke
Embracing the perspective of a sociocultural anthropologist, I hold in high regard the principles of conservation, education, and the celebration of diverse cultures and life forms. As I advance in my artistic pursuits, I recognize the paramount importance of integrating these values into my work. When you see a painting created by YeloMonki Works, I hope you feel a connection to these principles, understanding the stories woven into each piece and the profound respect for our planet's heritage.

Art for a greater good
Beyond creating beautiful art, YeloMonki Works strives to bring tangible good to the world. Each acquisition of an original painting from the "Conservation As A Goal" collection will result in a donation of fifty percent of the purchase price to a reputable conservation organization or rescue operation dedicated to the preservation and rehabilitation of the life forms depicted in the artwork from around our planet. Upon the completion of the purchase, the buyer will receive a letter or certificate of donation from the respective organization, affirming the contribution made in their name and that of YeloMonki Works. This ensures transparency and accountability regarding the donation. Following the sale of the original painting, the image will be made available on various merchandise and prints, with fifty percent of the profits from these sales also directed towards an annual donation to the same rescue or sanctuary. Therefore, the commitment to supporting these vital initiatives will continue indefinitely, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
